Greats of US literature pressed into diplomatic service

I first became aware of the "Big Read" program at the Massanutten Regional Library in Harrisonburg, VA, where I was given a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird for free.   I didn't know they'd gone international, though.  I think it's pretty amazing, though.  I'll try to pick up a copy of this Egyptian book, and of course everyone else should too. 

I purchased a YAKIMA bike rack for my car the other week.  I'm happy with it - feeling much more like I'm ready to travel now.  Though I still have to install my CB radio.  I'll get around to it.  Either way, I'm feeling ready for the road again, whether or not I'm actually prepared to travel yet.  Oh well.

interesting articles about Cuba.  the EFF should be happy.  i wrote an essay on internet censorship in China last year for a class, but i haven't looked at exactly what the Cubans are doing with that to see how similar the two systems are.  i merely thought these were interesting articles.
